With the release of Hotfix 2 for Prepar3D V4.5 a VR Tuning Guide has been added to the Learning Center.  It seems to be quite detailed.

First time I've heard an official comment on vsync setting. Thanks.

I can also report increased performance after using this. Uninstalling Geforce experience and disabling full screen optimizations gave me signifcantly increased smoothness.
