MCE+PF3>>>Fo does not respond to Atc.

Featured Replies

Hi,

On my last flight, while the FO has the Atc ("you have Atc"), it does not respond to the Control Center, Ground, Tower and so.....

The call sign is DVSB (Delta, Victor, Sierra, Bravo). It appears correctly in the ATC section of the MCE interface, PF3 understands it without problem.

When I answer to Atc, MCE interprets it correctly.

The problem only occurs at the FO level.

I made the same flight with MCE+Radar Contact (same aircraft, same call-sign, same FO, there the FO responds perfectly to all communications.

Thank you and Regards,

Richard

Hi Gerald,

I will try to detail the problem I noted with the FO which, with some Call-sign, seems totally lost.
Ex:
Parameter in the Airline menu of PF3=None (my plane is not listed, Twin DA62)
Call-Sign="DVSB"
The Call-sign in MCE is recognized as "Delta Victor Sierra Bravo"
After consulting ATIS, I ask the FO "Request IFR clearance please"
The FO correctly makes the request to the Control with the correct Callsign.
Control gives clearance
The FO does not acknowledge receipt of this clearance.
I ask the FO "Reply to Atc"
FO answers with only the Callsign "Delta Victor Sierra Bravo"

This is not the first time I have encountered this problem with the MCE/PF3 tandem.

As I said in my previous post, the MCE/RC tandem works like a charm, whatever the Callsign...never had a problem of this kind.

MCE:2.8.06, P3Dv4.5hx2, PF3 v3.9.0

Thank you and Regards,

Richard

Could you please post the content of "Clearance.log" file found inside \PF3\Logs\ folder?

I mean repeat the same flight, using same call-sign and post the content right after FO fails to handle ATC. Thanks

I have this problem, too. Some call-signs aren't picked up by MCE when using PF3. Mostly when using call-sign “None“, but also with “Turkish“, and probably other as well.

As requested, the content of the Clearance.log after requesting the FO "Request IFR clearance".
The FO never answered.

"  Delta Victor Sierra Bravo cleared to Echo Golf Papa Charlie   departure cleared to Flight Level 70 using Delta Papa    Squawk 2356 Departure frequency 123.6
Squawk 2356 Departure frequency 123.6"

Note, if it matters, there is a space as the first character (I included it in the copy of the text)

Affirmative, already fixed here.

Just waiting for something else (not related o this issue) to be sorted before posting replacement files in this thread.

Maybe tomorrow or Saturday at the latest.

There you go.

Download unzip and replace "mce.exe" in MCE installation folder. This is V2.8.0.8 and only required for PF3 users

Thank you very much Gerald, works perfectly 😎
