November 25, 20196 yr Author Hi, all parts are 3D printed and Trim Wheel is assebled. All works but I will need to tweak some things. For stick I use potentiometer, stick is too heavy, and falls down due to gravity 🙂 If I used encoder I think that wouldn't be a problem. Hole on yaw wheel need to be little bigger and higher few mm. When I fix those little things, I'll upload 3D printable files if anyone is interested in self-build. On Friday I will buy yoke and pedals and soon my simulator story is starting: D Edited November 25, 20196 yr by BuBizgb
November 25, 20196 yr A quick fix for the flap lever could be to pack it out so that it drags against the case. Great job so far! Thanks for the advice, but I don't think I understood exactly what you meant. Something like this? For now I plan to fix mine with magnets? 🙂 Will see how it works! ...
November 25, 20196 yr Having the notches or detents would be great yes. However, for now I was just thinking wrap some tape around the flap lever so that it rubs against the case and does not fall down under gravity. August 20, 20205 yr Hi, New to the forum and just setting up with MSF 2020. Really interested in your design. Would you be kind enough to share this with me? I have an idea of an Ardiuno build for some Cessna 1872 switches and controls and have a 3D printer. So I'd like to look at the designs and adapt in Fusion 360. Cheers
October 30, 20205 yr Hi I am interested in adding on a trim wheel to my existing setup. Like you I was thinking about using the Leo Bodnar board and rotary encoder. Any problems with this? Setting up etc. I am now using MSFS 2020 and would hope to use generic controller setup, rather than FSUIPC. Thanks Al
