October 30, 20196 yr Hi Does will P2ATC work on a Windows Tablet? What if I use iDisplay to link it up? Does anyone else use a tablet? I don't really fancy Vatsim, and this product alone does not warrant a second monitor. But a tablet would be ideal. thanks
October 30, 20196 yr Commercial Member Yes, you can run it on another WIndows device connected via the network. There is a section in the User's guide on how to set this up. Also, a thread here discussing how to setup on the network: And this one where a user created a tool to enable network setup. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/559286-pilot2atc-network-ptt-senderreceiver-apps/ Dave
October 31, 20196 yr I think a second monitor would make more sense to be honest, you can get them very cheap these days, it's hardly worth paying that little bit less for a tablet, unless you were planning on getting a tablet anyway for other reasons, even then I'd still say get a cheap 1920 x 1080 screen instead. Tablets are generally too small for things like this, unless you get a large tablet in which case a second monitor would be cheaper. I don't even like using my iPad for charts, I much prefer using the iPad as an FMC. I then have two other monitors (other than the main Ultrawide for the sim itself) for things like P2ATC and moving maps, charts, a web browser, etc By the way there is a trail so you can test Pilot2ATC before you buy. Cheers, Andy.
November 1, 20196 yr Author Is it essential to have a second monitor? Could I alt/ tab across for when I need it? why do people have it on screen? I really do not bother too much about the moving map, what i really want if for someone to give me the star on approach
November 1, 20196 yr If you don't want to see the moving map then it's fine without, I use my voice to communicate with P2ATC when needed. Cheers, Andy.
