Hi, 

I brought 2 days ago the update for Switzerland professional from Mailsoft for 27,50 Euro, 

I had the serial number from the boxed version years ago. The new download Version cost 108 Euro.

I installed the 14 GB and was very disappointed. 

The images are unsharp, than you have dark shadows in the mountains from the aerial images, looks strange when you have clouds or if the sun comes in the sim from the other side. But the worst ist the stuttering and the reloading: the area jumps up for some meters if you come closer. In the cities the buildings standing on unsharp streets, looks strange...

There might be some issues with my computer, ORBX or the scenery entries but I think this product is out of date and should  not be sold anymore.

I am aware that sharper aerial images are may be expensive and take a lot of disk space, but at least the bigger cities should get sharper images and I think they should be able to get rid of the shadows in the mountains.

They could combine different Sat images, may be from different times of the day or you could replace the shadows areas with other textures, should be no problem if its snow or forrests.

I spend a lot of money on addon airports and sceneries, but these 27,5 euros annoy me.

I am sorry to hear, but with a little bit research you should have realized before buying it that this "update" is nothing more than a port over to make Switzerland Professional X compatible with Prepar3d v4. The aerial images are more than 10 years old, totally outdated and to me it is an absolute impudence that Mailsoft still sells this product.

Sadly, more actual aerial images from the Swiss Landestopo are extremely expensive and no developer of simulator addons will ever dare to release a novel version, although I still have a small hope that there will be a TE Switzerland one day.

Personally, I removed Switzerland Professional X from my simulator a long time ago. It worked without the official patch in P3Dv4, but only with huge stutters. According to some user reviews in the Swiss forum, those stutters remained after the update for P3Dv4 was released, so I never took the plunge of the update and banned this outdated product from my disks.

confirmed that Flylogic's Switzerland Professional V4 still causing stutters under Prepar3D V4.5 (at least on my system).
