  1. The only reason I could think of why there were two entries for "Autofeather (arm/off)' is that I most likely did not deactivate FS2Crew before having made the updates of P3D and FS2Crew. And as it looks like havin been the only assiggnment which should up twice . . . I (hopefully) finally resolved the situation by having set assignments to "Reset Default". Thank you again Andreas
  2. Hi Bryan Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I had assigned "$" to "Autofeather arm/off". When pressing this button then something is shortly flashing up (on the right hand side of the screen, at a size totally different to what I have been used for with FS2Crew). However it's just like a flsh. Therefore I can't say what it is. And it does not come again when pressing the key once again. Now, guess what, I tryed to change the assignment and found 2 entries for "Autofeather arm/off" (see attached PrintScreen)??? I then assigned the other one to "SHIFT + N" and this one is working. Great - thank you for the good idea - problem solved. But do you know what these 2 entries are? They look to me like being exactly the same. By the way, I did a full install (after having deinstalled the previous version). Best regards Andreas
  3. Hi After having used FS2Crew successfully for quite some time I now encounter a problem with starting it. Currently I do not even have any reference to FS2Crew panels in the 'Views -> Instrument Panels' option of P3D. Yes, I have 'enabled' FS2Crew via the FS2Crew 777 Config Manager and yes, I am running P3D with Admin rights and also the 777's panel.cfg file shows the FS2Crew entries (as [Window20] to [Window24]). What I did in between the last time it worked correctly: I updated to P2D 3,2, reinstalled PMDG777 (with some additional liveries), reinstalled FS2Crew 1.8, . . . Any good idea would be appreciated. Andreas Furger
  4. Hi Bryan for having taken care of that matter within the just released Ver 1.8 Andreas Furger
  5. Hi Bryan Thank you for the status update. Great, I am looking forward to the next release. Best regards Andreas
  6. Hi Bryan Any news on a possible fix of the font size problem for the FS2Crew PMDG 777 as offered with the Majestic Dash8 Q44 release (see http://www.avsim.com/topic/478586-fs2crew-control-panel-resize/#entry3331301)? Regards Andreas
  7. Hi Mark Thank you for the information and the new version. You are doing a great job! Keep going on. Regards Andreas
  8. Hi Peter At least in my situation the fresh install/update to P3D 3.1 did not solve the problem. The widely disclosed workaround (see e.g. above referred forum) however does. Regards Andreas
  9. Hi Bryan I will give it a another try. In fact I already did it - but just once. When I did it previously it looked to me like having had no effect of doing the speech training having set OS to English US and switching thereafter back to a German OS . . . @ freezerfly Thank you for the guidance. I know how to set a different language in the speech recognition and I do not have a problem to change that language. However as Bryan pointed out in his second reply within this thread, the problem I am facing with the poor speech recognition might be cured by doing the speech training and I was not able to do that (as up to now). Andreas
  10. Hi @Dorian From a technical side setting a language for speech recognition which is different to the operating system language is no problem in Wondows 10. You just have to add the respective language then select this language within the speech recognition settings. @Mike Windows 8.1 is different. As far as I recall there you have to change the operating system language to get another speech recognition language. Nevertheless I still would prefer keeping German as operating system language. But nevertheless I certainly want to use my FS2Crew. So any help running a system in this environment and especially having the possibilty of doing the speech training would be appreciated. Andreas
  11. Hi Mark Thank you for the reply and thank you for attending this "problem". Best regards Andreas
  12. Hi Nobody else operating FS2Crew in a non English - US Windows 10 environment? I can't believe that . . . Thanks Andreas
  13. Hi I am facing poor speech recognition. So e.g. numbers in commands like "SET ALTITUDE FOUR THOUSAND" or "SET HEADING ONE TWO ZERO" sometimes get totally mixed up. What I am now wondering is how to train the speech recognition profile. I am using FS2Crew for the PMDG 777, Prepar3D v3.1, on a Windows10x64Pro installation, with a headset/microphone for the voice control/input. The operating system language is (Swiss)German. The 'Language' setting on the Speech Properties -> Speech Recognition page however is set to "ENGLISH - US" (as needed). Therefore when trying to train the profile I end up with an popup window telling me that I can't train the profile as operating system language is not identical to the language settings on the speech properties. I already tried to switch both language for the training to English US. However when I later on turn back with my OS language to German, it looks like training got lost. And the same is the case when I try to train with both setting to German and later on switch back the language settings on the speech properties to English as needed by FS2Crew. Thanks for your thoughts... Andreas
  14. Hi Mark As far as I could figure out the timeout just comes up when calling a GSX configuration menue. I have not been able to force a timeout otherwise. The problem can therefore be treated as solved. Regards Andreas
  15. Hi Matej You most likely also have changed font size with your new monitor. However the windows default size font size has to be 100% as per the documentation. As far as I am aware of the window size can be changed (see e.g. http://www.avsim.com/topic/454120-fs2crew-777-help-troubleshooting-faqs/page-4#entry3113970) but not the font size. If you find a way to compensate I would appreciate too. Andreas
  16. Hi Mark I have not been able yet to figure out when exactly this disconnection occurs. I wil try to figure it out a bit more in detail. It might even be related to opening a P3D menu, changig windows, or so. What I can say already now is that when pressing any buttun in the respective computer's FMC, then the iPhone sceen is coming back again (without having the need to restart the SimServer). Regards Andreas
  17. Hi I am running SimServer Remote CDU Version 2.2.0.0 with the PMDG 777X in licensed mode. The problem I have is that after a certain time without any activity (a few minutes?) on the iPhone I receive an "FMC timeout" message on the iPhone. I then have to restart SimServer (or at last that's what brings me back the FMC sceen on the iPhone again). Any idea to prevent this timeout? Best regards Andreas
  18. Hi Did anybody already try the mentioned "Windows 10 – Saitek HOTAS Beta Drivers and Software Release" and do they what Saitek/Mad Catz is saying? Thank you for sharing your experience. Andreas
  19. Ok, let me try to answer it. The default key command to activate a jetway is CTRL+J. Please check wether you havn't accidentally changed that key command. If a scenery has animated jetway and you park at the correct position a gate with a jetway and the airplane you use is native for P3D, the jetway should work. However there are some 3rd party sceneries that either have static jetways or use non-standard ways (such as COM frequencies or add-on programs) to animate their jetways. In this case, if the scenery has static jetways, jetways won't move. And if the scenery has a non-standard way to operate a jetway, you will need to operate it in the non-standard way. Please check on whether such is the case in your situation. For "Aerosoft London Heathrow Airport" you might also want to have a look at http://forum.avsim.net/topic/452009-aerosoft-london-heathrow-airport-and-moving-jetways/ Andreas
  20. . . . and as João is running Prepar3d, using AES might be a problem anyway. Andreas
  21. Hi Francesco I have encountered probably the same situation (within the main programming wondows of the SST software everything is looking fine i.e. on pressing a button or moving a slider the respective button/Slide becomes highliged; but no signals are recorded in the test window on pressing any button resp. moving sliders [whereas mouse buttons/keyboard strokes are echoing correctly] and no signal transfer to P3D). Therefore I have tested a bit around with other/older versions of the driver and especially of the SST Profiler software. Thereby I figured out that in my situation the following combination is running Driver Version 7.0.39.0 SST Version 7.0.27.13 You can download all versions at ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/. I don't know whether you already are aware of that. In your situation you probaly just need to deinstall the SST software and reinstall the older version. Good luck and give me feedback if you should figure out another, probaly more up-to-date combination Andreas

Then I probably should better link to "757 Fanatic" who just recently bought inadvertently a P3D version instead of an FSX one (see http://forum.avsim.net/topic/467311-refund-an-incorrect-purchase/#entry3226011), shouldn't I? Andreas

Oh gosh, it looks like I missed that promotional pricing option too!!! I think I will have to wait for the next Season's selling. Andreas
  24. The following topic might probably help you http://forum.avsim.net/topic/464243-virtual-cockpit-zoom-setting-for-777-and-737-prepar3d/page-2#entry3196724 Andreas
  25. Isn't that the runway file generated by MakeRunways (http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/MakeRwys.zip) and used by FsRaas? If so then just use MakeRunways according to its guidance, I think . . . Andreas
