Shalom and greetings all my pals,

My 7 year old laptop although in mint condition has two or three keyboard buttons including letter L that are no longer operable due to age (not due to any dirt). Is it doable to program and change from number 5 to letter L in numerical pad on right side of my laptop keyboard layout???  If so, how do I do that, please?

Thanks,

Aharon

I would just look on ebay for a replacement keyboard. What model laptop is it? They are usually very cheap. You can google how to replace them.

Shalom my friend. I agree, you can get replacement keyboards for not a lot, especially on older laptops.

It is certainly up to you, but I see lots of replacement laptop keyboards on ebay for less than $15 and free shipping. That would certainly be worth it to me if I could find the right keyboard.

Another possibility might be to use a wireless keyboard -- also  some for less than $15.

You might look at AHK (Auto HotKey) for a possible software solution to your problem.

Good luck on whatever you decide.
