"If scenery development seems like a bad idea we will start a transition to high quality aircraft development"

Really? IMHO they should stick to what they know, scenery, ie airports.

The bar for "high quality aircraft" is rather high.  But good luck to them if they think they can do it.

I strongly suspect it will be more like 13 months before MSFS goes "Gold"...

Yes, probably just before Christmas 2020.... but hoping it's 1st half of 2020, maybe 50% chance, fingers crossed.

What kind of add-on? I'm intrigued why devs (even the smaller ones) are jumping the boat so early on the development.

I'm fully interested on the new sim and kind of stopped using the current sims, but I would like to understand the business side (way of thinking) of this hobby.

I can't really claim to be jumping from any boats - I haven't developed anything for a flight sim since I helped with SquawkBox 4. It's more fair to say that I'm jumping on the boat. While I've continued to fly over the years, the excitement around the new sim has inspired me to get back into building add-ons.
