April 21, 20206 yr Navigraph integration for sure 🙂 Then I'd love a pilot's body to make it look like I'm really there - hands that are moving along with my hands etc. Also shared cockpit - both pilots with VR, seeing each other's hands moving, head turning etc. Edited April 21, 20206 yr by Thomasso Tomáš Pokorný SYSTEM -> CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz | GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti @ 2027 MHz | RAM: 2x8 GB G.Skill Trident RGB 3200 MHz | MOBO: AsRock Z370 Extreme 4 | SSD: Kingston 256 GB, Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB | HDD: Western Digital 1 TB | CPU COOLER: Corsair H115i | CASE: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D | PSU: Seasonic Focus Gold 750W EQUIPMENT -> YOKE: Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System + Throttle Quadrant, Saitek X52 | RUDDER PEDALS: Saitek Pedals | CAMERA: TrackIR 5
May 4, 20206 yr Hi guys, is there anyone Having very Good knowledge on VR settings for P3DV4 ? I need some help to use my setup properly in VR with Oculus Tray Tool. Setup: RTX 2080 Ti 11Gb/I7 9700K/ 32GB Ram at 3000mhz/ Oculus Rift How can I use my GPU and CPU with the optimal capacity And how can I make the blurry sight disappear in order to have a clear sight in the headset. I can barely read the displays and so on.. need some help for a while now hope someone is a master in the thing. thanks guys !
May 8, 20206 yr Full body animation like in VTOL VR. Animate the Hand/Body/Head in correlation to the VR controls. VR VTOL does this well. Should be visible interior and exterior views and in multiplayer as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-76y7sbHE5U&t=1398s
May 19, 20206 yr I don’t think I can edit my last post but this is a better example of what I meant when I said full body VR animation. Pilot animations are usually overlooked in flight simulators but when done correctly can really increase immersion especially when you’re viewing the aircraft in an exterior view. It looks 10x better than the “stiff” barely animated Pilot we see in most sims. VTOL VR Pilot Animation Example
May 23, 20206 yr I like the shadowing in the cockpit as the pilot moves his body. Great stuff. Richard - flying out of Australia Explore amazing places with FLIGHT SIM DISCOVERYCheck out my real life 'learn to fly' video series
July 2, 20205 yr I'm a long time MSFS user (from before it was MS actually, SubLogic). I only started using Xplane when XP11 got VR and I have to say, I love their implementation. I love being able to use the Touch controllers for everything. I have Yokes (3), Pedals (2), TQs(3), Sticks (2) but nothing beats reaching out to flip switches and turn dials. Yes, using the Touch controllers for the Yoke is not ideal but being able to touch everything else makes up for it IMO. Pairing Touch with my rudder pedals is all I need. The yoke implementation in XP11 is much better than FlyInside FSX in my opinion. That being said, I think chart / kneeboard integration is absolutely essential. I use AviTab and that helps a lot but what would be better is having multiple tabs opened that are easy to switch between. Having to reload different charts is time consuming especially when one is a Sectional that takes a while to load. If I could open at least one sectional, a checklist, both airport diagrams and have an approach plate all open at the same time and easily switched between, that would be so much better. Also, as mentioned above, being able to scribble down notes during a read back would be helpful especially when getting taxi instructions at large airports. Other ways that the VR could be improved upon over that in XP11 are that some of the dials are way too sensitive for Touch controllers and therefore hard to dial in properly. Being able to program Touch buttons. I would especially like an option for one of the buttons to be "Read back ATC instructions". Being able to verify ATC instructions by pushing a button on my Touch controller would be much like having a mic switch on the yoke. That's currently not possible even in XP11. Nothing beats the immersion factor with VR. Like many of us, I've been chasing the immersion factor for decades, starting with a good stick, rudder pedals, yoke, throttles, adding an extra monitor, then moving up to TrackIR, 3 monitors with TripleHead2Go, adding over $1000 worth of GoFlight panels and a Buttkicker and then moving to VR. Each step added a bit of immersion but VR absolutely kills them all. IMO, the ultimate would be if VR resolution increases and we get gloves for controllers or just our hands like the Quest or LeapMotion try to do and then use an actual yoke and pedals (possibly TQ) but be able to use our hands for everything else without having to pick up and put down Touch controllers. Until then, I'm happy enough using the Touch controllers for everything.
