December 17, 20196 yr I downloaded a couple of profiles for Trackir 5 to use with P3Dv4.5 and saved them to my NaturalPoint/Trackir5/profiles directory but when I click on the Profiles button in Trackir5 to change to a different profile these don't show up. The only choices I have are the ones that come with the Trackir. What am I doing wrong? The profiles I downloaded are the ones from Seth Flight and Stephen 1. i7 8700K CPU @ 4.8 GHz, 32 GB DDR4 3000 memory, Gigabyte Aorus Z370 MB, EVGA RTX 2060 Super XC Ultra GPU 8GB GDDR6 Memory, MasterAir MA610P CPU cooler, 1T PCIe NVMe SSD, 500GB SSD, 2T HDD, 3 Asus 24" monitors, Saitek X56 Rhino H.O.T.A.S., Altec Surround Sound System.

December 17, 20196 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I copied those profiles over to the directory you suggested but they still do not show up on the Trackir menu. I use both FSX-SE and P3Dv4.5. Mostly P3D but I have a couple of aircraft that I like a lot on FSX but not P3D. The twp profiles don't show when I am using FSX either. So after your news about the AppData directory I now have two Trackir folders. Is that a problem? I have had Trackir for a few years but just recently started using it again. That's why I am bringing all this up. I have tried setting up my own profiles and also adjusting the default one but didn't have much luck. It would be nice if I could just use some tried and tested ones until I get the hang of modifying one. Maybe I should uninstall all of the Trackir programs and files that I have and start all over. i7 8700K CPU @ 4.8 GHz, 32 GB DDR4 3000 memory, Gigabyte Aorus Z370 MB, EVGA RTX 2060 Super XC Ultra GPU 8GB GDDR6 Memory, MasterAir MA610P CPU cooler, 1T PCIe NVMe SSD, 500GB SSD, 2T HDD, 3 Asus 24" monitors, Saitek X56 Rhino H.O.T.A.S., Altec Surround Sound System.

Based on what you are saying, that sounds to me like the best way to proceed. Once you have a fresh default installation and can confirm you have been able to add and use profiles, I would be happy to share a profile with you. It's one that I have perfected for my use over the last year or so. It may not be what you like, since I fly GA exclusively, but it may give you a better feel for what can be achieved with different settings. If you are interested in trying it, just PM me with your email and I will send it to you along with my settings. I encourage you to stay with this. I know it can be frustrating to get it "just right", but it is well worth it when you find that sweet spot. December 18, 20196 yr Author I got it figured out. I still might do a reinstall though since I now have the two NaturalPoint Trackir folders. I also fly GA. Mainly the A2A warbirds. I also like the comanche 250 a lot. With all the profiles I have tried, only 4 actually, I haven't found one that will allow me to look down at the lower controls. And I don't get much zoom when I lean forward. I also use EZCA 2 so I can still use my hat switches but I would like to be able to just look down. I would like to try your profile. I am new to this forum but I guess you could private message it to me.Thanks. i7 8700K CPU @ 4.8 GHz, 32 GB DDR4 3000 memory, Gigabyte Aorus Z370 MB, EVGA RTX 2060 Super XC Ultra GPU 8GB GDDR6 Memory, MasterAir MA610P CPU cooler, 1T PCIe NVMe SSD, 500GB SSD, 2T HDD, 3 Asus 24" monitors, Saitek X56 Rhino H.O.T.A.S., Altec Surround Sound System.
December 18, 20196 yr Author I just realized that I am on the AV Sim forum (P3D). When I posted the original request I thought I was on the NaturalPoint forum. Anyway I have been a member of AvSim since Oct 2015. I got my profiles to show in the drop down menu so all is good with that. What I need to do now is figure out how to tweak them. I need more vertical head movement and back and forth zoom. I will probably be better off asking about that on the NaturalPoint forum. i7 8700K CPU @ 4.8 GHz, 32 GB DDR4 3000 memory, Gigabyte Aorus Z370 MB, EVGA RTX 2060 Super XC Ultra GPU 8GB GDDR6 Memory, MasterAir MA610P CPU cooler, 1T PCIe NVMe SSD, 500GB SSD, 2T HDD, 3 Asus 24" monitors, Saitek X56 Rhino H.O.T.A.S., Altec Surround Sound System.
