Re-Installation

Featured Replies

I have just changed over to Windows10. Consequently, I had to re-install both my simulators. (FS9 and FSX) Both installations went well, on FSX the program asked for my numbers that are on the box. I have entered them, all ok. I installed the Acceleration pack, but here it did not ask for my code numbers. When starting FSX, all aircrafts are in the system, but when trying missions, there are only the basic missions listed and not the "advanced" ones like landing on the carrier etc. I have de-installed and re-installed the Acceleration pack numerous occasions, but no change what so ever.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Miklos Cserny

1. run regedit (Windowskey +R)
2. Expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTRO L\CLASS\{4D36E967-
E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3. After you find the folder, double-click Upperfilters on the right side.
4. Change the value from 0 to PartMgr and/or remove any other settings and then click OK.
5. Close Registry Editor
6. Start FSX/Accel and you should get the registration wizard

Gentlemen, I am in a predicament. As I live in Hungary, the Windows 10 is in Hungarian language. I could not go through your advice. However, I again de-installed both the Acceleration Pack as well as FSX. After a lot of searching I did manage to re-install the FSX under as Administrator, at the end I have activated the program with the Product Key. After this, I have exited out of FSX and re-installed the Acceleration Expansion Pack with Administrative rights. The Acceleration pack did not ask me whether I want to activate it. I started the FSX and the following message appeared.

 PRODUCT ACTIVATION ERROR

We are sorry, a unexpected error occured which is preventing  product activation from being completed.

ERROR CODE: 1-80004005

By the way, the FSX is installed on C :\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Simulator X

Thank you for your help and regards,

Miklos Cserny

Gentlemen,

I have changed over my Windows 10 from Hungarian to English. I have carried out the quoted instructions above, de-installed the Acceleration pacage, re-installed the package, rebooted my computer, started FSX and the results are the same as I have written on my previous post. (Product Activation Error)

Could someone advise me please?

Regards,

Miklos

Hello Gentlemen,

Here is the problem child. I still have similar problems with the installation of the FSX. I have done the regedit, but now I have the following message after installing the FSX from two discs. After installation, the program has asked me, whether to restart mz computer now or later. I have requested to restart. After this, I have booted up the FSX hoping to get the Product key, but unfortunately the following message came on.

An error occurred while attempting to activate the product. The problem may be due to an incomplete installation of the application. Reinstalling  the application may resolve the problem. Otherwise please contact product support for assistance.

I have lost count how many times I have reinstalled this program. At the moment it is installed on C:\FSX

Best regards,

Miklos
