January 17, 20206 yr Off and on when I want something different I fly the ultralight through the Grand Canyon. The closer to the river you fly the more challenging it gets. I haven't flown the entire length yet. Just segments of it. Some good starting points are Grand Canyon National Park Airport (KGCN) of course, but also The Ranch (AZ40), Grand Canyon West (1G4), and Grand Canyon Caverns (L37). Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 18, 20206 yr One of my favourites! I use a helicopter though. Sue Edited January 18, 20206 yr by Penzoil3

January 19, 20206 yr Good idea to do that. I'm going to use the newly-released SWS T-37B, if I can get it out of KGCN's runway. I may not be able to get as low as you in an ultralight, though. The T-37 is interesting because it can get down to very low speeds (for a jet) and turn some sharp corners. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
