January 18, 20206 yr Hey guys, was hoping you all could help me with another one.... I've got GSX Level 2 installed and AIG one click installer for my AI traffic. When I land at most airports, Delta planes for example are scattered all over the terminals, same with all of the other AI planes I have. I know I can go into the airport editor and edit the signs on the gates in GSX, but was curious is there a certain AFCAD file for these airports? Obviously in FSX I would load different AFCAD files, but wasn't sure if that was the same in Prepar3d. I've done some googling and looking but coming up with a variety of different answers. Obviously I don't mind doing the leg work to assign aircraft to gates at my popular airports, but was curious where I would start. Thanks again, Edited January 18, 20206 yr by billb1981
January 18, 20206 yr Gate codes work the same in P3D as they do in FSX, customising AFCAD`s work the same also you need the V4 version of ADE for the latest P3D. Raymond Fry.
January 19, 20206 yr Commercial Member +1 You need the parking codes correct to make things work. S. Oficial Website: https://www.FSReborn.com Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/XC82TqvKQ3
January 19, 20206 yr You can also take a look at the AFCAD section over at https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php , where a lot of the add-on airports are covered with modified AFCAD. January 19, 20206 yr Another thing to remember beyond parking codes, is that the sim uses the half wing span value to park AI aircraft. The key value is wing_span in the AI aircrafts aircraft.cfg file (it's in meters). If the parking spot is too small for one-half of the wing_span value, the aircraft will not park there, even if the code matches in ADE. I'm sure that is detailed in the AIG forum linked above.
