January 22, 20206 yr Does anyone know how donor levels are determined, i.e. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Lifetime? January 22, 20206 yr I do and they will be posted soon. We are currently updating this app. Later on, when I get back from my chores, I will try to post the various levels here. These are the levels once posted by Tom. I am a bit upset the various levels are not posted within the donation system. They were somehow removed and possibly by all of the website updates over the past 3-4 years. This is one of my highest priorities but must work with the AVSIM Tech who has other obligations (like a real job) he has to take care of first. I do know the Lifetime award is based on a donation of at least $500 and not based on a donation of $500 over incremental donations over several years. It's just like the Bronze donation where you have to donate at least $50. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! January 22, 20206 yr This is the memo I found from the late owner, Tom Allensworth, regarding donations: Why Donate to AVSIM? If you enjoy visiting the AVSIM forums and find them a valuable part of your flight simulating experience, then please consider donating to AVSIM. Doing so will keep this free community service open and online. All donations made are greatly appreciated and will be put to good use maintaining and building a better community for you! You will be given well deserved recognition for your donation: Each donation will result in a badge assigned to your account and, every time you post a message or a member visits your profile, they will see immediately that you have contributed to keeping AVSIM online and providing service to them. Donations from $5 to $25 will result in the Donor Badge placed in your profile from 3 to 9 months. Donations from $50 will result in the Bronze Badge placed in your profile for 6 months. Donations from $125 will result in the Silver Badge placed in your profile for 1 year. Donations from $250 will result in the Gold Badge placed in your profile for 2 years. Donations from $500 will result in the Lifetime Badge placed in your profile for as long as you have an account on AVSIM. This is our Premier Member Level. If you mark your donation as an anonymous one, the appropriate badge will NOT be shown in your profile. How to Donate? AVSIM Donation Click the DONATE button above. You'll be taken to the donation portal. If you would like to donate, select the amount you wish to donate to the right and follow the prompts. You will be taken to a PayPal payment gateway. If you do not wish to donate via PayPal, you can use your credit card. VERY IMPORTANT: If your donation does NOT IMMEDIATELY APPEAR in the Donation Tracker, please send an email to [email protected] and tell us that you have made a donation and provide your USER NAME on the forums! This will happen if you do not have a certified address registered with PAYPAL. It is important that you send us this email! Please Note: Donations made to AVSIM Online are not tax deductible in the U.S. or elsewhere. END OF MEMO I will try to place the donation amounts as above into the Donation System so members can review the various levels prior to donation.
