And that is where you are wrong because I heard one of the developers say it one one of the videos I watched. They were quite clear that this will be a PC release followed by a console release and that this is a PC sim first and foremost.

Wrong about what. I never said PC wasn't coming first. It was about being quite some time after PC release.

The reply was not about the platform order in which the game will be released but about the timing. An earlier post said that “there is no doubt the XBOX release will be quite some time after the PC release” - it was the “quite some time" which was raising comments as there doesn’t appear to be any evidence for this.

@shawty1984 - sorry, just noticed I repeated what you said! Will teach me to check if there’s another page of posts.

In my experience, when there is a staggered release between platforms there is a considerable gap. It hardly ever seems to be just a matter of weeks but more often many months or even over a year. Now I am not suggesting this will be anything like a years gap. It stands to reason that Microsoft will want to use FS2020 to showcase the Series X which should be released Octoberish. but I would expect some months between the PC and console versions based off of experience. I'm speculating, of course and only time will tell.

I hope that there won't be much of a gap. I'm hoping that the console version will bring some new blood into the genre that we desperately need if this hobby is to have a future. Hopefully people will play the console version and see the potential of the PC version and make the leap into more complexity which will keep the addon developers in business who do so much to keep this thing moving forward....I hope, I hope, I hope.

Whatever the outcome, for now it is an exciting time for FS.
