MODULE PROBLEM

Featured Replies

Hello

I have the PMDG737NGX module installed (v4.15)

When I click on SYNC TO SIM it reverts back to AIRCRAFT, please advise

Clive Alexander

What version of LINDA are you using? V3.1.0 is required for correct operation with PMDG 737NGX v4.15. Do you have P,DG 737 NGXu installed?

I d/loaded 3.10 but when I run LINDA it has 3.09

Check the About page for the LINDA version number.

Success, thankyou

Please inform me the name of the file that retains the mapping of the controller switches

Clive

I wish to restore previous mapping, although I may have deleted the specific file trying to resolve the current problem

Config-hid.lua in /modules/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX/LINDA-cfg.

I have located the file Config-hid.lua

Can you direct me to the location where I will copy this file to in my current modules folder

I have found the location

I thought I may have  restored my original mapping, but no such luck

I inserted Config-hid.lua into modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/pmdg 737NGX

The mapping listing remains blank

Your original config-hid.lua will not have been overwritten when you installed the updated module unless you deleted the original.

Check for any backups in /modules/LINDA-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX/backups. These are time stamped and will need to be renamed.

Before I had carried out a complete re-install of my system I had saved all my LINDA files to a safe location (ha.ha)

On re-install of LINDA using v3.09 I transferred all my saved files over into the new installation ( I have done this before and it worked) However, I was messing about with files so much not aware that v3.09 was the incorrect version and that v3.1 available, I inadvertently deleted the PMDG737NGX folder in which was the file I requred ( config-hid.lua )

I have checked my actions and I have come to the conclusion that I have deleted the wrong folder, therefore I have spent so much time trying to salvage previous work,  I have no alternative but to start again and re-map my controllers.

Thank you for your assistance, I have learnt from my mistakes (how many time have I heard that) ha.ha

P.S.  When I downloaded LINDA the only version available was v3.09 there was no link to v3.1.  Is this something I have missed or is the LINDA website out of date

I have checked the previous published version of LINDA. It was correct as 3.1.0. It is possible that your browser's cache pages of the AVSIM website host were not up-to-date leading you to see the older version. I will ensure that old versions are removed from our server.

LINDA 3.1.1 is now available. I recommend you re-download and install this version as there are some minor changes to that I linked to you last night.
