ORBX starting point

Featured Replies

I'm just about to take the plunge and buy a new pc. My old pc is struggling to run P3d v2

I'll bu running P3d V4 on my new pc (spec below)

i7 9700k

1tb sdd

2tb hdd

16gb ram

RTX2070 super gpu

After spendin out for the computer I don't have much spare cash to play around with but would like to make a start with ORBX products. I'm based in the Uk so looking to start there first.

How does below sound for a starting point?

Global base pack https://orbxdirect.com/product/global-base

True Earth Great Britain South, North and Central

does this sound ok or am I better going for something different, I do find the ORBX product rang a little confusing.

Are you only interested in the UK, or do you also want a global upgrade at the same time?

I started with the free Tasmania scenery. They also do a free Iceland. A good way to see how it looks on your system.

This is good advice.  Plus you can try their global airports freeware.  I found that the payware Orbx Global combined with their freeware airports was the best bang for the buck in upgrading scenery.  I don't use the true earth series simply because I don't have the drive space.

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

Going for global then the free airports sounds good, might give me the funds to look at REX Skyforce 3D
