The Robin is working in my P3D v2.5 and v3.3. When I come across 'stuck aircraft syndrome' I reduce the payload (not fuel) to 0. That almost always gets it moving.

I live half-way between EGHR and EGHI and it's been raining pretty much all day here with solid overcast. But the best ASN can do is few or broken clouds with no precipitation. I also tried Opus Live Weather and it's the same as ASN. That leads me to question how accurately these add-ons actually represent real weather. Any thoughts?

I just tried it (admittedly in P3D) and it worked perfectly. Are you sure that you've engaged ALT mode? (there should be additional verification with a wings symbol over ALT on the Remote Panel switches on the main panel in front of you). Also. when the autopilot captures the altitude, the red light flashes on the Altitude Set gauge. Otherwise I would contact Bill at Lionheart support - he's always very helpful.

I could be wrong but, as far as I can remember, pressing the ALT key will command the aircraft to climb or descend to the altitude set in the set Altitude gauge (located on the main panel between the ADF and NAV frequency setting gauges). It is not an Altitude Hold switch, it is the equivalent of Altitude Acquire.

Absolutely the most logical choice when you've been looking for a Baron... :smile:

Hi I'm trying to make a simple edit to a dds file (DXT5 1024x1024). It's a cockpit (vc) panel. I use DXTBMP to convert the file for editing in Photoshop. After editing and saving, and I load the aircraft with the edited file, the textures are more pixellated than with the original. Could someone tell me please how I can edit this file without introducing this degradation? Many thanks David Lawrence

The vc is sub-freeware standard.

The reason for this problem may be obvious but it's eluding me at the moment! I have removed all controller functions under Controls but when they are enabled (with Control+K) which I do when I am not using TrackIR, the elevator trim moves to full down setting and can't be moved. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Before this closes, you can get demo versions of both so you can try them out before you buy. I did that and went for Opus partly because of the included camera and head movements included.

Sounds like you are in Outside view, not vc for some reason. If you right click and select Cockpit/Virtual cockpit do you get the same result?

Hi - the click spots for NAV1 whole numbers in the vc don't quite match up to the knob, so I find I have to click on the STBY label - also I find it easier to move the mousewheel to change frequencies. hope this helps. There is also an excellent ORBX upgrade to the vc. Dave

You could also disable just some of the unwanted effects - and it's "Accufeel" btw - just to be pedantic! Dave

I couldn't afford Trackir so I decided to make a 3 LED cap to use with Freetrack software. It was much easier to make than I thought it would be and only cost a few $$ (££ in my case). It works perfectly with the (free) software for a fraction of the cost of TrackIr. I tried to use my Ezdok with it but they wouldn't play together so I purchased Opus and now have Dynamic Head movement and live weather.

I was wondering if anyone had done such a repaint? I can't think why Alabeo put a shadow of the yoke (and the removeable strut) on the panel! Thanks Dave

As I suggested in my post #2, try the demos for yourself rather than relying on opinions of others who probably haven't tried both.
