  1. Just flew the C441 again after quite a long break. Firstly I couldn't find any fuel tank selectors, apart from the x-feed switch on the lower left of the panel. (Maybe there aren't any on the real aircraft). Secondly, the NAV2 gauge seems to indicate the ILS glideslope in the wrong direction so, when below the glideslope, the needle points downwards and vice-versa, in direct contradiction to the NAV1 HSI, which is correct. I couldn't see any posts about these issues on the forum, so I thought I'd ask!
  2. Thanks so much for all your replies - I've got a lot to learn obviously!
  3. I'm trying to fly the ILS approach procedure for EGPE Inverness (runway 23) arriving from the North. The IAF is a VOR and then there is an outbound segment with a 45/180 procedure turn to intercept the ILS. My problem is that I don't know the correct way to turn onto the outbound leg from the VOR because it's a very sharp turn! Do I turn in advance of reaching the VOR or is there a procedure I need to do after I reach the VOR? Thanks!
  4. Much much easier just to get a throttle quadrant. And much more realistic as well.
  5. Create a separate folder for your downloaded Globe data. In Little Navmap under the 'Tools' menu, select 'Options' then 'Cache and Files'. Under the heading 'Flight Plan Elevation Data' select 'Use Offline Globe Elevation Data' and select the folder you created to contain your Globe Elevation data.
  6. Very sorry for your loss. See what a big difference it makes when everyone has some information, otherwise stuff gets made up!
  7. Your title reads Piper Cherokee 180 not Piper Comanche. There has been an AI Cherokee in the default folder for P3D going back several P3D versions now.
  8. You can download a Google Satellite map addon for Little Navmap which works as well as any paid moving map/Flight Planner that I know of.
  9. You can select different states with Shift+7. e.g. click "Cold and Dark" then "Done". You could then save the flight and see if it starts up in that saved state when you select that flight again.
  10. A better feeling of being airborne. It's the only thing I really liked about X-Plane when I tried it.
  11. You could get a monthly subscription which is what I do. V4 is so much better than v2 so even for a few months it would be worth it I think.
  12. I started with the free Tasmania scenery. They also do a free Iceland. A good way to see how it looks on your system.
  13. Thanks to you all for your help. I tried Google and it worked best for this particular search.
  14. I'm sure I'm doing something very stupid, but this morning I'm trying to find all Jan Kees Blom's repaints for the A2A North American T-6. But whenever I put "Jan Kees Blom" into the Author field and "T-6" into the Name/description field searching for Flight Simulator X repaints, I get no results. Please help! Many thanks.
  15. The fuel cutoff is on the left side of the central pedestal. The horizontal position is fuel ON, vertical for OFF.
  16. Could you add me to the list to receive the file please? Many thanks!
  17. I used to have this problem until I calibrated my toe brakes properly. I found that the minimum number should be zero, not a negative number, which was the mistake I made!
  18. I have CH pedals. Whenever I have this problem I always manage to cure it by taking them apart and cleaning the pots.
  19. What if, like on my setup, there's no room on my tiny C drive, which was intended mainly to be used for containing the operating system?
  20. Thanks very much for all your replies: I did actually have a go at finding a wav file from another aircraft which had water lapping sounds and modified the sound.cfg as per your example Charlie - and it worked! Fantastic. Thanks very much!
  21. I've just got into the various floatplanes for FSX (and P3D) and I noticed that in some aircraft, while moored, there are sounds of the water laping etc. whereas in others there's none of these sounds. Is this something I can add to aircraft at all?
  22. How bad are the fps - for example which aircraft is it comparable to in terms of fps?
  23. All's ok now. I realised that I hadn't got Little Navconnect installed in its own folder outside Little Navmap. As soon as I did this I got the option to switch it to X-Plane! Thanks for your help David
  24. There's no option to switch to X-Plane in Navconnect for some reason. I've installed the XP Connect plugin into X-Plane and it shows up as installed on the menu.
  25. Little Navmap woks perfectly on my remote laptop when connected to P3D v3 on my PC but when I try to connect to X-Plane, the status bar reports "Connected" but there is no aircraft symbol. I've got Little Xpconnect installed and Little Navmap works perfectly with X-plane when I connect locally on my PC. Any idea what I could be doing wrong please? Many thanks David
