February 23, 20206 yr Hello all, I simply want to express my appreciation to Jean-Luc for such a great product. Some of you may be aware of my trials and tribulations with the Flight1 GTN 750 in the P3D forum. After approximately three months of frustration, exasperation and sheer futility, in my dealings with Flight1, I eventually gave up on that product and got the Reality XP GTN 750. Installation, unfortunately also involving Flight1, was incredibly simple and easy. This was achieved by using the Flight1 red aircraft icon wrapper, which Flight was was constantly telling me was no longer used. I had to use the Purchase Agent to install the F1GTN. Anyway, Installation was achieved with an absolute minimum of fuss, but, due to some unknown self inflicted (I believe) injury, I had a lot of problems actually getting the programme to work. It turned out that something was blocking the install of the rxpGTN.dll into the (Path)C:\Program Files(x86)\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\FltSim\folder 64. Bert Pieke eventually sent me his copy of that folder and all was restored to RXP Awesomeness. It took quite some time to actually pinpoint the problem, but, it was a very simple fix in the end. The actual product is incredibly good and a big thank you to Jean-Luc for its creation. Strangely, I did not resort to Jean-Lucs legendary support, which is the opposite of Flight1 support of the F1GTN. Jean-Lucs' support is sufficient reason alone, for selecting the RXP GTN ahead of the Flight1 version. I also think the programme itself is better. I want to say, that Jean-Luc (and his programme) and Bert Pieke have made me a very happy man and I am grateful for their support. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. February 23, 20206 yr Hi Tony, I thank you for your kind words and thank Bert for his assistance to the community for so many years! I'm also sorry for the unexpected out-of-the-box experience but this happens from time to time because there are so many different systems and configurations and support is here to help in these cases. In your case it looks like it was just something on your system preventing copying of the file to get started and usually the only reasons are wrong access rights, or anti-virus quarantine. I'll take this opportunity to also remind a few items which might help other customers searching the forum for answers in the future. From time to time some anti-virus programs are stubbornly tagging our files and there is nothing we can do against it. I've answered a number of posts about this and pinned a discussion too here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/522608-trojan-virus-false-positive/ I'm looking forward your feedback as you progress in using our products and discover their depth. If you want, once you're more accustomed to using our products, don't hesitate to share your findings in the dedicated discussion: In the meantime for any question feel free to ask in our forums!
