October 13, 200619 yr Hello there,I have just installed the FSX Deluxe version onto my system and it really is very disappointing!!!I try to fly the aircraft with my yoke and they are way to over sensitive!! How can i make these aircraft fly as in FS9??The aircraft textures are awful!! You have to choose a high setting which seems to swallow up the frame rates. The airports don't have terminals unless you set a high setting which takes even more frames!!It seems you need a top processor to run it!! I'm gonna purchase a 236 graphics card tomorrow and hopefully that will makie some difference. Why have Microsoft made the sim so dependent, what happened to the good old frame rate friendly sim!!Am i the only one having issues???RegardsJames
October 13, 200619 yr Maybe you should browse through this forum to get some answers and tweaks. If you are lucky you may encounter a 'couple' of FSX related postings.... October 13, 200619 yr Author I have had a look and have come across no issues or reference to the controllability of these aircraft!!As a pilot i get to fly many aircraft types ranging from the PA28 to the Airbus A320!! I can quite honestly say that no aircraft has ever handled like these aircraft, in fs9 they were fine and responded so well. But with this new simulator it dives and climbs at an excessive rate as with the lightest inputs??There must be a way to get rid of this and i asked the kind people of this forum if they have any suggestions apart from look in the forum!! Whilst i appreciate your response it really doesn't help me?!?Regards
October 13, 200619 yr You might be "behind the aircraft" due to the FPS. That does seem like the aircraft is over-reacting.You haven't mentioned your realism settings - which have a big impact.I assume you are using the default aircraft. It is unrealistic to expect addon aircraft to perform well intially. Even though there have been no major changes to the flight dynamics system that I've hard about - the little things which get updated almost always require configuration changes in addon aircraft.
October 13, 200619 yr Author Cheers Reggie,Thank you very much for your reply it's very much appreciated!!I have the default aircraft at the moment and have no plans to add any other aircraft to FSX at this moment in time. It really has been an incredibly frustrating day. I'm gonn ahve a play around with the display settings to see if anything comes to fruition. Please keep your suggestions coming chaps and chapesses they are very much appreciated:-)RegardsJames

I'm gonn ahve a>play around with the display settings to see if anything comes>to fruition.Take a deep breath, relax... ;) Then, spend some time reading about and installing a couple of the 'tweak fixes' that have been posted over the last five days.Once you've got your system adjusted for 20-30 fps with minimim voluability (variance), then begin worrying about the sensitivities of the yoke inputs. As Reggie said, it's quite possible that you are getting "behind the sim" and as a result wind up "over-controlling" because of the 'slop' in the inputs...Finally, you can open the aircraft.cfg file and look for the following three lines:elevator_trim_effectiveness = 1.0aileron_trim_effectiveness = 1.0rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1.0The value 1.0 equals 100%, so to reduce the "effectiveness" (sensitivity) to 60%, simply change the value to 0.6... :) Fr.
