March 8, 20206 yr Hi, I am fairly new to Pilot2ATC and enjoy it a lot. However, I couldn't find information on whether it is possible to hide the position of my own airplane on the moving map. I like to navigate without a GPS map, just with visuals and VOR/NDB, and to try to find my way the old-fashioned way. I still rely a lot on the Pilot2ATC map for radio frequencies, proposed phrases, waypoint information and so on, but I would like to avoid to see where I am. Is that possible? Thanks, Peter
March 8, 20206 yr Commercial Member No, you cannot hide your aircraft position on the map. You can slide the flight plan/map splitter bar over to the left and hide the map. Dave
March 8, 20206 yr Author Hi Dave, thanks for your quick response and this awesome program. I tried to do that, but then the radio frequencies disappear as well. Peter
March 8, 20206 yr Commercial Member You must be sliding the wrong slider. There is one between the Map and the Flight Plan. A long vertical one. Slide that over to the left and it will hide the map. Dave
March 8, 20206 yr Author I think that's the one I moved. The map has a number of icons on the right side to get all kinds of information. I use the list of nearby radio frequencies a lot. When I move the slider to the left, this list moves together with the map and disappears as well. Peter
March 8, 20206 yr Commercial Member Yes, that's the one. I thought you were talking about the COM/Nav area on the bottom disappearing. If you select an airport, you can get all the frequencies with the Info button to the right of the Flight plan. Otherwise, you'll have to know where you are on the map. Dave
