March 8, 20206 yr Hello I am very new to x-plane11, flight simulation and RXP. I have x-plane (11.41)Â and RXP (latest version)Â for GNS530 installed and I noticed that the GNS530 does not display any DME information in the default C172 while the default x-plane GNS530 does show the DME distance. I have tried with both old Garmin database that comes with the RXP 530 and also with updated databases, no difference in DME at all. I have tried multiple VORs, same thing. X-plane does show the distance to VOR in the map view when I click on the VOR details. The VORs in question appear on the sectionals as DME capable. In the images below I am using the example of VOR with ID PAE next to the KAWO (Arlington Municipal Airport) I am not sure if I am missing something but shouldn't the DME appear in the RXP530 ? Â Please help. Â Thank you so much.
March 9, 20206 yr You have to select the VOR/LOC data on one of the AUX pages... Data Field configuration I believe. Use the outer knob to get to the location, and use the inner knob to choose options. Then ENTER. And it will show correctly. https://imgur.com/a/UQnVfGM DIS is not the DME but the GPS Distance.. tricky.. The actual Garmin GNS530 manual explains it.. August 23, 20205 yr I hate to say it, but in my C172 in FS2020 I only see one AUX page and that is for COM SETUP. I see nothing for NAV DISPLAY. Edited August 23, 20205 yr by EJHebert
