March 12, 20206 yr hello. i can't get my fuel plan to begin with the 200 liters [c172] in my aircraft performance profile. it's just simple 1 hour flight, times, distances show correctly in the flight plan but the fuel column does not begin with the 200 liters, full tanks. i do i fix this? regards joe
March 12, 20206 yr Hi Joe, sorry, I don't understand. Can you attach a screenshot and the aircraft performance profile file? Did you enter reserve fuel of 200 liters? Is the profile correct? Does LNM show any warnings or errors? Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
March 12, 20206 yr Author --------------------------------------------- i expect this number to be 200 https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvzmrjvd8y7nxwx/Cessna Skyhawk 172SP Green VH-KVJ.lnmperf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/6cm7fwq9ygcwfvd/IFR Bankstown (YSBK) to Maitland (YMND).pln?dl=0
March 12, 20206 yr Author thanks Alex. my thinking is: 200 liters total fuel available 30 reserve, 11 taxi i am expecting 200 liters at the top of flight plan decreasing as we fly the legs. i note that you say Quote Did you enter reserve fuel of 200 liters? but the toolhelp refers to minimum fuel for 30 minutes [i am using 45 min reserve fuel] i'm also reading https://www.skybrary.aero/index.php/Fuel_-_Flight_Planning_Definitions and going through section 34. Aircraft Performance . joe Edited March 12, 20206 yr by approxdec more info
March 12, 20206 yr Hi Joe, thanks for the files. This helps a lot. The column in the flight plan table does not change during flight as mentioned in the manual. I'm aware of this limitation and this might change in future updates. But for now it has nothing to do with the actually loaded fuel in the simulator. The number in the table assumes that you loaded the block fuel in the fuel report. So, remaining fuel before first leg (at takeoff) is assumed block - taxi. You set usable fuel to 200 l. This value is only used to show warnings and estimates for endurance in the fuel report but not for actual fuel planning. Do not expect this to affect block, trip or remaining fuel display. Using your files I get: - Reserve 30 l - Taxi 11 l - Block fuel is calculated as 78 l - Remaining at start of first leg should be 67 l which I can see here in the flight plan table. This is correct if you loaded block fuel of 78 l. No idea about the slight difference of 2 l to your screenshot. Most likely rounding errors and a different navdatabase. See the progress tab for actual fuel estimates at destination and TOD. These are calculated by consumed fuel and an estimate for remaining based on the performance profile. March 12, 20206 yr Author thanks Alex, that clears things up. now, don't scold about reading the manual. we DO read the manual - all the time - but we are trying to reconcile what we are reading with what we know and this is muddled by what we think should be, or expect. remember that you have this all in your head whereas we need to read and understand it [sometimes muddled, as i said]. and sometimes, we just need to talk to you about it to make sense of things. thanks hugely for your fantastic program. joe Edited March 12, 20206 yr by approxdec
March 13, 20206 yr Hi Joe, I did not scold. That would sound different. Don't worry. This fuel planning topic can be confusing and there can be always misunderstandings. That's what the forum is good for. I also had to learn all this stuff before implementing it. I try to learn from the misunderstandings and always try to improve the program and the manual. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
March 31, 20206 yr Good afternoon! Someone can help give me aircraft perfomance for Boeing 737-800 by Zibo for this great application?

All user uploaded fuel performance data is available at https://www.littlenavmap.org/downloads/Aircraft Performance/ I don't see any Zibo, so it looks like that it's not been uploaded. so you may need to create your own.
