March 15, 20206 yr There should be no doubt that the SIMADDONS scenery is very well done scenery. My only problem with the scenery is that it changes the default elevation of the default airport. To most people, this will not be a problem, but being a member of a formation team, it causes havoc. Those that have not installed the SIMADDONS scenery see aircraft for those that do have the scenery either underground or suspended in midair. Of course this only takes place when aircraft are on the ground. does anyone know of any way to disable whatever file is responsible for defining airport elevations? Simply unchecking the scenery for the simaddons scenery in the scenery library seems to do nothing to get rid of this problem.
March 15, 20206 yr The airport elevation corrections for Simaddons sceneries are going to be located in P3D's scenery\world\scenery folder. There is a bgl file for each airport that ends with the 4-letter ICAO ID plus "_ARP" (e.g. Kelowna CYLW_ARP.bgl) Writing a batch file to enable/disable these bgls (by renaming them or moving them to a subfolder) is a good way to deal with the issue.
