Formation Flying
hecrowell replied to Bdreher1982's topic in Shared Cockpits | Multi-Player Forum for FSX | FSX-SE | P3DIt's not likely that you will have much luck flying close formation on the VATSIM network. Whrn flying close to another aircraft, that aircraft jumps around terribly. Why not consider flying with our Bluebirds Aerial Demonstration Team? We fly Multiplayer mode via direct connect to my hosted session. Email me at [email protected] HC

Vatmap for iPad
Just downloaded the App but for some reason the Charts feature is not operational. I enter the ICAO, hit the arrow and there seems to be server activity but no charts show. Have tried Canadian and US ICAO's. Anyone have an answer for this?

NB Bluebirds - Looking For Pilots
The New Brunswick Bluebirds Formation Team (formerly FSNB Virtual Bluebirds) is now looking for pilots. At the present time, we have two openings: Left Wing (#3) and Slot (#4). We are kind of laid back, yet when in the cockpit and flying tend to stick to the serious task at hand - flying and behaving like pilots. Requirements: Flight Siulator X with Acceleration, a good knowledge of FSX commands and control settings, How to fly an airplane in FSX and be willing to install our T-33 - which we will provide. Ability to fly in formation is not a requirement - we will teach you that Other requirements: •Attend regular practice sessions - we have two per week and are on Sunday and Monday evenings beginning at 1900hrs. •Be able and willing to comply with our GMT-4 hrs timeframe. •Be able and willing to conduct yourself in a professional manner. •Install and use TeamSpeak3 for communications on the Sim-Outhouse TS3 Server. You can PM me if you are interested and then we will arrange to meet you on TS3 to discuss your new hobby. We are looking forward to meeting interested parties and thank you for your interest.

Looking for formation Team Cameraman
Hello - I am the owner of the FSNB Bluebirds, a rather new formation demonstration team here in Eastern Canada. We fly the Lockheed T-33 and practice 1-1/2 hours three times a week - Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings @ 1930 hrs local time (2330 UTC) our airport is CYSJ and we fly on my servers locl IP address via FSX Multiplayer. We are looking for a "cameraman" to capture and send the video pickup to our Livestream channel. The "Camera" is via an invisible airplane known as 1st Person Bob from ORBX at http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html Bob is nearly half way down the page and he is free. Applicant must be at least 18 and willing to work as part of a team. Information and training will be provided upon acceptance. you can talk to us on TeamSpeak3 at www.sim-outhouse.net - on the FSNB Bluebirds Channel Sunday, Monday or Thursday nights. We are a friendly, fun-loving team though quite serious about our flying. Need further info? via reply to the post

Multiplayer Traffic Jittery (Back and Forwards very quickly)
hecrowell replied to machine2035's topic in Shared Cockpits | Multi-Player Forum for FSX | FSX-SE | P3DMake sure that you and each pilot caps his framerates at or below 28FPS. This more than likely will cure your "jitters"

Someone to construct the New River Gorge Bridge
Well - Ok: This is an old post that I just ran across and thought I would take up the challenge. I haven't modeled anything for some time now. I usd FSDS V3.5 to model the structure and saved as a .mdl. then imported into Airport Design Editor and after pulling up stock airport WV32 (New River Gorge) started dragging the bridge into its proper location. The image shows the bridge just about where it should be - Yes, it is quite crude now - just the basics but the finer detail will come soon. Will have to scale the length of the deck a bit due to the inaccuracies of the FSX scenery so that the deck will reach the Terrain on both sides of the gorge UPDATE Ready for distribution: DL link to follow.

FSX Real World Weather - reverts to User Defined Weather
I have cleared the internet Explorer temporary Internet Files (cache) yet my FSX insists upon reverting back to User Defined Weather. When I select Real World Weather (Updates every 15 minutes) and click OK, I do not get an indication theat the weather from Jepsem is downloading or updating FSX. What does anyone suggest I look at next to fix this?

FS9- Excessive Taxi Speed
I have a 3rd Party Dornier 328-100 turboprop which I like very much - except for its excessive taxi speed. Surely there must be a tweak to reduce taxispeed in the FS9 aircraft????? Probably somewhere in the aircraft.cfg file............Can anyone help?I also downloaded a utility called "Taxi Speed" which refuses to run - it gives a Runtime Error 76 - path not found error which I cannot figgure out.HEC
