Mini review of LRBM Aeroportul International Maramures

Recommended Posts

Mini review of the new free scenery LRBM Aeroportul International Maramures.

While continuing to test the new PDCS for CS B732, I also tested a new free scenery from Tompa Sergiu.

A neat light scenario is very good.

So, I'm fly from Varna to Baia Mare Romania.

Thanks.

Soon we will finish the PDCS gauge for CS732 (So far only 737-200Adv, for other engines we will do later) and this device will be available for free. If someone has an interest in this gauge, write in a personal message.

Beautiful pictures...love those old-fashioned Airport Buildings/Towers...disappearing somewhat these days.....

[I recall my CS B737-200 (not Adv) has a PDCS, but don't recall ever using it...while my Milviz B737, I think, does not have it...need to check...(Nick: Is your version available only as integrated into VC or also as a standalone pop-up...might be interested in trying it, for fun, if at all, possible)...]

Hello!

We have already completed the last missing PDCS mode - CONT. Now we need to add support for other aircraft models (this is the original 737-200, Combi, and Freighter).

Our version of PDCS is very different from the one made by CS.

When we are all done, we will put together a large update package for CS732, which will include all our early developments - this and the modified dynamics with changed engine parameters, corresponding to the FCOM. There will also be a change in night lighting in VC with changed textures of gauges night backlights.

Our PDCS works in conjunction with the 2D panel V-One card (of the author Paul Tally), but we also modified this gauge itself.

Our PDCS can't be used with Milviz B732, only with Captain Sim, because some variables of the CS model are used, for example, the calculation of Vref speeds depending on the position of the flaps. And a 2D PDCS panel is not planned yet.

In any case, when we finish all the work on PDCS, we will collect the entire package of CS732 improvements and make it available to everyone with a request via PM. Therefore, if someone is interested in this, write to me in PM and when everything is ready, I will immediately give everyone access to the mod.

Best regards,

Nick

Nick: Appreciated the detailed explanation!

Sounds good. Glad you're planning to cover all the CS737 models in your final package...with learning points, I'm sure/hope...

Many many years ago (prior to my (several years of) break between FSX and FSX-SE, I was, at one point, quite active in the CS 737/757 etc. forums (I recall folks asking/complaining for a (simplified) GPS flight mode on the original CS 737-200, and been told "fly VOR, the way, the plane was supposed to be flown"...🙂...), and many of us were, indeed, flying this way on domestic routes...(And, now, you're flying across continents, with GTN-750, on this plane...!)

I also do recall getting the Adv upgrade, but, cannot find any trace of it now in my current system/Archive, may get it still...

And, I do understand, your CS (PDCS) Version will not be compatible with MilViz-737.

Thanks!
