April 13, 20206 yr Hello, Does anybody know how V5 performs in VR? If those who could test it could comment : do the more than 50% performance increase in fps that has been mentioned in another thread also applies to VR? Any other changes regarding the UI or other aspect of VR? Thanks Vvince Edited April 13, 20206 yr by vvince

April 13, 20206 yr Well, it's still not in the store, otherwise I'd give you my opinion. I'm sure I'll have some VR hours sorted in it by later on today. I'm confident it will be better than v4.5 (which I like very much in VR), it's just a question of how much smoother it is. For example, I can't quite fly my PMDG planes happily in "busy" areas (Orbx London CIty, for example) with v4.5 Would be great if v5 allows me to do that. Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. Currently flying: MSFS: PMDG 737-700, Fenix A320, Leonardo MD-82, MIlviz C310, Flysimware C414AW, DC Concorde, Carenado C337. Prepar3d v5: PMDG 737/747/777. "There are three simple rules for making a smooth landing. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are."
April 14, 20206 yr From the Last November I use only VR in P3D, it kills everything 😆. Cant wait to try it in v5. I was happy how it works in 4.5. April 14, 20206 yr Author I'd be glad to hear your opinion Rob. Like Yoyo I cannot fly without VR anymore... At the moment on my setup P3Dv4 HF2 works smooth enough in some areas, and in some planes. Would be great is V5 allows to fly smoothly anywhere and in all planes... Wait and see. Cheers
April 15, 20206 yr I just tried it and so far I’m not too impressed. Seems left eye is kinda jerky, takes a bit to catch up to the right eye it seems. It is early and I’m sure there will be a lot of tweaking to come. V4 for me worked great, I’m sure v5 will catch up. Can’t wait!
