April 17, 20206 yr I bought the Falcon 50 and have a few questions about proper operation: 1. I can't get rid of the red "Cabin" warning sign - it says in the manual that this means that the security latch isn't properly closed on the passenger door, the door itself is closed, though. 2. On takeoff I got a trim warning - how do I set and what is the correct trim setting for take off? 3. Are there speed brakes in the Falcon 50 that I need to arm before take off? If so, I couldn't find where they are located. Thanks!

There is a blue Air Brake (spoiler) lever on the center console between the seats just to the left of the flap lever. See the picture on page 31 of the Falcon manual, item #10. It may be a little easier to see the lever if you click on the pilot's right arm rest to move it out of the way. Al Edited April 18, 20206 yr by ark
April 18, 20206 yr Author Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to arm the air brakes so that they deploy upon touchdown? When i use my usual "arm spoilers" keyboard command, I'm not seeing the lever move to an "arm " position.

See page 8 of the FSW Falcon50 manual for a list of special key assignments, including how to operate the air brakes if you don't want to use the mouse. The air brakes are manually operated, not armed, and work in the air or on the ground. Al
