I don't know if you are still experiencing this issue, but many times losing the radio panel illumination is a USB power management issue in Windows (the Chaseplane crash might have just been a concidence) and you may need to disable USB power management for those USB hubs in order to fix that.

This is exactly the problem. I had this problem since years, and have a little cmd prompt utility that I run everytime windows decides to disable some of the USB ports. This is a windows problem, nothing else. This utility disables the power management setting in windows for USB ports.

Need help with Saitek radio and switch panels on prepar3dv5 and A2A skyhawk.

installed spad.next for v5 with bridge.

spad sees my panel switches but does not light the radio display:   yoke, throttle and rudders work fine.

pp3d does not see my panels, also can not tune the nav radio on with the mouse on the skyhawk.

do the panels need to be configured manually in spad?

windows sees the panels but not as usb, just as a device.

I am just getting started with prepar3d, a decent pilot but not a great IT guy.

thanks,
