Recommended Posts

I recently bought the new p3d v5 and everything downloaded well but it’s just stuck on the loading screen for hours and won’t load

Try deleting the cfg files

Often you might need to delete the following generated folders/files to have Prepar3D respect your changes. This will result in any add-ons being removed/disabled.

  • %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
  • %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

Verify the fix was successful by opening Prepar3D and selecting Options, Settings, and under Full Screen Settings you should see the correct graphics card listed under Display.

that's your problem, directx 12 compatible graphics card is required, it's a minimum requirement that one cannot work around.
