New Maule M7-260/MT7-260 Tri-cycle VC Fix

Recommended Posts

On the new Maule M7-260/MT7-260, the Tri-cycle model VC does not show up.

To fix this, the Tri-cycle model.cfg file needs to be changed to read:

[models]
normal=Maule_Trigear_P3DV4_exterior
interior=Maule_Trigear_P3DV4_interior

Does this need to be move to the P3D forum?  I see there are 2 versions to this download so I have moved this to the P3D forum.

This is NOT about a P3D version.

The noted correction file has some P3D labels; but, it is actually part of the FSX version.

My original note belongs in the FSX Forum.

 For all models in fsx/DX10 mode the landing lights do no show up correctly. I get grey triangles looking  forward in the outside view.

I have no issue with all my other aircrafts, (may be a DX10 compatibility issue?)

Sorry, Ray but adding that line to the model.cfg didn't bring up the VC and caused problems when trying to use the aircraft.

Also you get these anomalies looking from behind the aircraft: Grey triangles from the landing lights and grey patches on top of the aircraft.

This is what my FSX Tri-gear model.cfg looks like and it works.

[models]
normal=Maule_Trigear_P3DV4_exterior
interior=Maule_Trigear_P3DV4_interior

It is only the FSX Tri-gear model.

I rarely fly from outside the aircraft, so I went back and looked.  I have the same triangles anomaly looking from the outside from the rear of the tri-cycle aircraft with the landing lights on.

I noticed other have also reported this on other boards.

Hopefully the creators of this aircraft will come up with a fix.
