You wont be putting yoursliders full right, dont even think about it. But half way or a littlebetter, I have cloud density and distance full up and as I say it runsfine.Now keep in mind MSFS is a GA sim, heavy aircraft were just thrownin as an after thought in an attempt to try an satisfy everyone.Always has been, always will be. (not talking 3rd party stuffhere)As a GA sim its pretty good. For heavy metal lovers (me). Well,they look pretty, but the panels are pretty basic funtionally wise.And when you can take an A321 fully loaded ( and I mean fully loaded !!) and climb at 6000fps and never loose any air speed,nuts I probably could have done a full loop! and theres otherissues. Well nuff said about flight dynamics ;) The auto pilot,its the same useless piece of junk thats been with FS for years.Barometric pressure change or wind direction change and it jerksaround like a fish out of water. Dont even bother with the autothrottle. Im waiting to see if, and thats a big IF the 3rd party guys (LDSPMDG) come out with a FSX version. But Im afraid unless theycan work some miracles, if you think you have FRproblems now... Just wait.Having said all that. As I said before if your a GA fan, its prettygood, go for it. But if your a heavy jet person Id say wait forthe 3rd party stuff and see what happens then.As for me. If Im doing serious hard core simming I stick withFS9 (for a long time I think). If I just wanna have some funand fly some GAs, I fire up FSX.

I'm running a Athlon 64 3000+ With 1 gig of pc3200 and a Radeon 9800. It runs rather well on mine so you should be fine. There are a couple of tweaks floating about with regards to autogen scenery and texture resizing that help. But even without it runs well and looks pretty good.

Yep-you should be fine. The Opteron is dual core-but FSX hardly takes advantage of it. I use the second core mainly for TrackIr. The Video card is 256. Use of video memory was mainly at 240, but did peak once to approx 280. I think stutters happen if video memory use goes above video memory. The posting of the fps mean absolutely nothing. Indeed, looking at your pictures I see little difference between FS9 and FSX. In fact with fsg mesh and Ultimate Terrain and texture changes WITH PMDG 747 I could easily beat those frames on FS9.
