Hold short traffic on final 'loop'

Featured Replies

Hi Dave,

I am encountering an issue that isn't repeatable on every flight although when it occurs it renders P2A unusable for the rest of the flight.

When approaching runway hold before takeoff I request clearance and get told by the tower to hold short - traffic on final (which there is) my co pilot reads the instruction back to tower and tower repeats the instruction, then my co pilot reads back - tower asks again and so on....they get stuck in a loop. I can only stop this by disconnecting. Sorry if this has been mentioned before but was wondering is there something I'm missing or something I'm doing incorrectly? Been using P2A for a few years now and love it! 👍

For reference I'm using Traffic Global also.

Daz,

Please email me ([email protected]) the log file for the next flight where this occurs so I can see what's going on.

P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name.

It does sometimes happen that there's too much traffic at an airport and therefore no way to get clearance onto the runway.  Turning down the traffic volume can help this.

What you describe sounds like some sort of logic loop that I may be able to fix.

Dave
