Please help...
Hi,I'm sure the PMDG staff will help you all the can - one of the reasons for the activation not working could be because of the following (as posted by Robert in an earlier topic) 2) Customers Having Activation Problems:I have spent most of my time working on this issue (divide and conquer!) and after working through issues with a handful of customers I am finding that the vast majority of these issues can be mitigated with some thoughtful computing. We have prepared an applet that is able to force activation onto a machine, and we anticipate rolling this out en-force tomorrow. However, there is always a hook: This applet cannot fix core windows problems, nor can it make up for users who run applications to automatically or manually kill various critical windows services because they think it will gain them better performance.Of the five customers I helped today, all five had run or were running one of the various "FSX Tweak" guides that advocate killing windows services. Unfortunately, this winds up becoming a problem when you install applications that depend upon those services- and it is generally bad guidance in any event unless you know for certain what a particular service is/is not doing. For example, our NGX depends upon a particular windows service that also happens to be used by Adobe PDF Maker. If you look this service up on some of the "tweaker" sites they will tell you it is safe to disable. However, when a user kills that service, they lose the NGX as well... So- the bottom line: Anyone who is having activation issues is going to get a ticket reply back from us on Tuesday with an app that will fix the vast majority of issues. If this app doesn't work for you, then Ryan and I will be personally involved with you to make sure we get you resolved as fast as possible. Just wondering if your aware of this ?

looking forward to SP1!
I'm sure that there are limitations in FSX to get the simulator 100% accurate with some of the features. 99.9% aint too bad though!

theory on issues with ngx
But, I'm not convinced the problems are av related. I think a lot of the problems are with people not reading and following the instructions found in the introduction. +1

Throttle Quadrant 2D panel missing?
Gents, Some of you need to look at earlier posts on the forum before asking the same questions that many others have.....The answers can be found through 5 mins of browsing!

Low FPS
Blame FSX guys, your system settings or possibly corrupt cfg files etc! Other users with similar systems are reporting decent frame rates so it can't be PMDG otherwise we would all see it across the board. They supply the product, but with the million and one different variables in different peoples machines it's hard to keep everyone happy!

Some posts are funny.....
Hi all, I haven't purchased the NGX yet due to all the madness that follows the first couple of days after release.I like most have been waiting patiently for what seems like years for this release to come about. But with all the waiting it has given me time to do as much research on this bird as I possible can, including looking at the improved system features (as compared to the NG) and the different ergonomics present in the aircraft. Since release day I have been watching this forum carefully and reading all of the different posts regarding issues people have been seeing and encountering, a lot of which is fair to say would just require a little research before buying the aircraft and most would be resolved. For example - I read a post yesterday regarding the Master caution light not being straight in the cockpit and the gentlemen asked if it was something he'd done during install etc.....but if the research had of been done it would have been known that this was an ergonomic feature intended by PMDG along with various other things like worn and dirty buttons etc etc, all intentional by PMDG if I'm correct?Another couple of posts indicated that the PFD's etc were taking sometime to come to life when power was applied in the cockpit - also as far as I'm aware this is the feature of the NGX (as shown in Nicks AOA video of the cockpit systems etc) he mentions and shows that it takes a couple of minutes for the screens to display any info. This is different than the NG as the displays used to come alive instantly when power was applied. So not necessarily a bug as some people think. People who have been well accustomed to the NG I'm guessing will probably find the NGX a little different due to the amount of realism that supersedes the NG, so I would suggest as much reading and video watching as possible before automatically assuming that the aircraft doesn't work or that there is a bug etc. I know there are genuine members out there who are experiencing genuine bugs and I have sympathy for these people as the majority will be experienced pilots and simmers. But reading through everything first will help me determine when I install if I encounter any problems, whether its an intended feature or a bug. I'm still waiting for the post that says - '' I have fingerprints on the displays in my cockpit, is it something I've done or is it a bug?'' lol guarantee we wont wait long for that one.I'm just saying that maybe people should get to know the aircraft they are flying before complaining that something isn't working right. Knowledge is power :-) Happy flying everyone Darrel Cooke

Wipers in the 2D?
Hi Nick, I'm pretty sure that the animation for the wipers is only modelled in the VC cockpit and not in 2D as far as I'm aware Darrel Cooke

Downloading NGX Question
Hi PMDG team. I have a quick question regarding downloading of the 737NGX........... Will it be possible to download the package to a PC say using the 'save as' function (think the install package was quoted at being around about 600MB) then installing on another machine? I don't mean install to 2 separate machines. I would be using another PC to complete the download then saving the 'exe' to a pen drive and installing on my home machine as I don't currently have an internet connection at home. Will this be a problem for me? any info would be fantastic. Thanks in advance Congratulations on a great product, I'm really looking forward to flying her. Darrel Cooke

Any news on PMDG 737 NGX?
Very Bad question. I have been watching and waiting quietly in the wings for this product to be released since 2009 like many of other folk. I'm patient so its fine, I know that when the product is released it will literally be the best 737NG product ever made which I'm very excited about after reading some posts regarding on-board systems and functionality etc.Working in a development environment myself I can understand what the PMDG team are experiencing with regards to people pestering about release dates and beta testing etc etc....... It will be well worth the wait TRUST ME!only slight issue I have is the way some of the PMDG team address these people. Sometimes I find some of the comments abit fly (no pun intended) after all we are the ones who will be buying the product, and I think a little more friendliness when responding to these people wouldn't go a miss! I know its hard at times when all the team want is for the product to be released just like we do, so the world can see the effort that has gone into it. It also doesn't help with people asking the same question over and over (can be very frustrating) but we're all adults. I'm guessing that the people asking this question have spent loads of $$$$ already, purchasing PMDG products? I'm sure the PMDG regret putting ''Coming 2010'' on the website as the backlash they received must have been ridiculous. So please be a little more sensitive when responding to these people as they are of course potential customers, and every customer is valuable.I have most of the PMDG products, as I swear by them.... religiously. So there is plenty to keep me occupied until the final release of NGX. Keep up the good development work team, cant wait to fly this bird!

Reality XP WX500 and PMDG Merge not Working
Hi there, For anyone who is interested I've managed to get the Reality XP WX500 weather radar merged with my PMDG 737/800 also running FS2Crew and all works perfectly. After searching the internet for any info on this subject I came across loads of dead links and loads of confusing instructions etc.It seemed I had the same problem as many in that I had recently downloaded v5.2.1 of the WX500 and seemed to struggle to get it to work. I am currently running the same version (5.2.1 which is working)!! My NDWX file in FS9 root directory reads Version 5.2.0.0, but when running flightsim and checking in the tab bar and going to the 'About' tab on RXP it reads 5.2.1 ??Anyway after days of messing around I managed to get it working but came across another problem........my FS2Crew was no longer available. (click spots dissapeared on MIP) Arrggghhhh!!!I seemed to remember that when FS2crew is installed it changes the original panel.cfg file to incorporate the new click sopts etc on the PMDG panel. Anyway I finally managed to get FS2crew and WX500 working together in my PMDG 737/800 after fettling with my panel.cfg file :-)For anyone who would like to try the same method without getting stressed trying to edit files etc I would be happy to send a copy of my panel.cfg to try out if you PM your email address. I have a copy of the file with and without FS2crew.I can also provide screenshots of all three programs in action together if required :-) Happy flying.
