May 29, 20206 yr Recently, I was gifted with the v5 and installed it in the same drive, along side with my existing v4.5 with the airports, sceneries, orbx etc add-on. Compared to Activesky having the respective v4.5 and v5 shortcuts separately, the approach to the airport and sceneries add-on are not that direct. Some of the Samscene's and Pacsim's airports and sceneries add-on do not have a native v5 installers yet though they are compatible and I tried to install with the v4.5 installers as stated on their websites. However, it could not proceed with the error of invalid directory when I point the installation to the v5 folder. I think the installers installed only in v4.5 folder and could not recognise any other folders. ANyone manage to install these 3rd add-on can advise? Separately, my orbx is installed as a library with links to the v4.5. Any way to 'link' it the v5 compatible add-on to the v5? Or any suitable approach to install the v5 add-on with minimum disruption to the existing v4.5? Appreciate your advice, thanks.
May 29, 20206 yr For Orbx, the way to go is to duplicate the libraries.. one for V4, and one for V5. It does take up space, but you can reduce the V4 library over time, as you build up the V5 library. Bert
