June 6, 20205 yr Hi, I just bought the RXP GNS 530 and 430 and am a bit perplexed how I can use it to replicate my real world flying experience. I am in Australia and we have VFR Waypoints in our ERSA which are populated in the Australia Garmin database and thus we can use these in the GNS 430 installed in our aircraft. However, these waypoints are not in the database that comes with the Garmin trainer. I don't have access to an actual datacard as these aircraft do not belong to me. In X-plane 11 I was using the stock GNS having exported the VFR waypoints pdf and converted the waypoint info into a user_fix.dat file in the x-plane 11 custom_data folder. However, these waypoints do not work in the RXP GNS, rendering the RXP completely and utterly useless to me since I needed it to assist with real world training and in the real world I am not plugging in waypoints as Lat Long all day long. Oh hell no :) So what do I need to do to get these custom waypoints into my RXP or is it not possible (in which case a refund will be required since I cannot use this) Cheers Andy

June 6, 20205 yr Hi, Given you're already manually converting waypoints into user_fix.dat, you can process these waypoints in a similar maner in order to create a user waypoints file for the GNS to import. Please read the RXP User's Manual for details about importing user waypoints into the GNS.
