June 14, 20205 yr Hi, I've no problem with speech recognition and communication with P2A, bat I'm not able to use the "Personal Grammar Training Phrases" because I didn't get (orange) phrases in this window. Therefore, I assume, I didn't get the "Speech Recognition Information" window, too. In contrast to this I get (orange) phrases in the first window of the "P2A Grammar Helper" and I'm able to practice speech there and there I get the "Speech Recognition Information" window. What's going wrong? I beg for help.
June 14, 20205 yr Commercial Member The Personal Language Trainer allows you to enter "personal" / custom phrases you are having trouble with and then use the Windows Speech Trainer to train Windows to understand you. It normally would not be needed, unless some specific valid phrase is not being understood. You must manually enter any personal phrases, then press the Train button and then use the right side of the Language Training screen instead of the left side.

June 15, 20205 yr Another option is to use the Control Panel speech applet to turn on the Win 10 speech recognition, open Notepad and dictate some ATC terminology. NOTE: The Win 10 speech recognition applet should not be open when using P2ATC. By dictating phrases and words into Notepad, one can see what the SR is getting wrong. Sometimes it's the microphone. Other times it's having too high a level of ambient noise. It can also be your speech rate and pronunciation. My setup has issues distinguishing my Gs from Ds, so I spent more time using the trainer with words containing those sounds. In addition to automatic speech training, the speech Control Panel applet also allows training on specific words. These words are then added to the dictionary in your SR profile. June 15, 20205 yr Author Thank you, that's really interesting! I tested my microphone via Skype and could control in the quality by test reply in this way. I'm not sure if it' s comparable to P2A in relation of speech quality?
