RXP GNS530 V2 AUTODETECTS OLD GNS530 WAAS BUT NOT REPLACED

Featured Replies

Dear All,

Encountering difficulties to implement RXP GNS530 V2 in VC Cockpit panel of A2A CESSNA 182T. Automatic feature autodetects the former RXP GNS530 WAAS but doesn't replace it by the GNS530 V2. the aircraft panel.cfg file shoulde be :

[VCockpit03]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=1
pixel_size=640,640
texture=$gps

gauge00=rxpGNS2!GNS_530_1, 7,191,446,318

But the aircraft panel.cfg file is :

[Vcockpit03]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=1
pixel_size=640,640
texture=$gps1

gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530, 0,0,511,372

Many Thanks to support members who helped me until know. Is any way to go on and solve this issue ?

Best regards,

Armand.

Hi,

Can you please cross check the content of the RXP logs for any indication of this? (see user's manual for file/path)

Yes, save the panel.cfg file with the correct gauge line.

Fir the a2a C182, I have as default:

gauge00=rxpGNS2!GNS_530_1, 8,192,442,314

🙂

ps. Also verify that you have the latest a2a C182 update installed.

The a2a Tools app should give you the correct version, period.

No need to use the RXP addon app to autodetect anything in this case!

Hello,

I proceeded accordingly : I downloaded "A2A Update" software (5/11/2020) I found in A2A forum and updated the Cessna 182Skylane. Then I opened the A2A config Tool and checked "Reality XP/GNS530" option, then I set up the GNS530 V2 in the Cessna with the add on menu (both autodetect and pop up windows). And it works now ! great ! full features,  a real pleasure !

Only one "bug" remaining : FSX crashes when logging out the current flight (whatever aircraft/flight involved). I will cross check the log files to find any information about that and I will revert to you.

Thank you for all assistance,

Best Regards,

Armand.

Happy you've got it working!

Still not sure why you need to "set up the the GNS" at all.. it should be working when you select it in the a2a  app.

As for FSX crashing... that is not something I can help you with.. sorry!

🙂
