Normally on multi-engine aircraft, the left engine starts first and will cause clockwise rotation if no brakes are set. Have a look in the controller settings as see what is assigned to the Skew rotate commands - is there an axis listed in addition to the default numpad 1 and 3? After I installed a set of TFRP rudder pedals, when ever I entered skew the plane used to shoot off at about mach 6. Turns out that one of the pedal axes was assigned to a skew command in addition to my joystick. I reset that and everything's fine again. The control drop down lists both the pedals and my HOTAS X stick - I had to make sure I was selecting the pedals and not alter the setup for the joystick which I can and do use for skewing the plane.
