June 21, 20205 yr I recently lost a really good friend. Her name was Rita. When she passed she was 103 years old. She was a Broadway dancer in the 1930's and she knew everyone in show business in the '30's and 40's. Everyone from Greta Garbo to Frank Sinatra, she knew them all. Her best friend back then was Lena Horne who occasionally would babysit for her daughter when Rita was out of town. My wife and I have spent countless hours with her while she recalled the memories. She was a member of the Broadway cast at the 1939 World's Fair. And, again, she was selected for the Broadway cast for the world tour in 1942 (cancelled because of WWII). Her memory books are unbelievable. She has pictures of her with many letters and notes from every famous Broadway/movie star from 1935 to 1945. What a woman. Do you know any centenarians? P.S....Sorry about the formatting but I can't fix it. Something's broken here........
