ORBX Products are having lots of issues in V5

Alex, I had some night textures displayed during daytime around CYYZ and some other places in the USA in P3Dv5 with OLC NA installed in a library, and the problem went away when, out of frustration, I decided to install OLC NA and Global Base inside P3Dv5 instead. If you have OLC NA in a library, you might try uninstall and re-install inside P3D.

All of my remaining ORBX sceneries are in a library.

That can just be a test BUT it is not recommended by LM. So if these issues occur only at outside installation and inside it is without issues then ORBX has something to solve (with or without help/ changes at LM side).

Same is with their ORBX dyn lights. LEBB has enormous impact on frames if you are using big monitors and 4k or with vr compared to other bigger airports like KSFO EDDF LEMD LEMG LEBB and so on. They responsed that they couldn't do anything about it. Dyn lights are optimized as much as they can. But i replaced some of theirs with inibuild and all is fine.....so their MUST be something wrong at orbx end

Apologies for resurrecting an oldish topic but it was only last week I discovered the problem why performance at Bilbao - LEBB - was so dreadful on my system when everywhere else was fine.

Dynamic Lighting when running at 3840*2160.

Turning it off at the same resolution results in no stutters or pauses. With it on it's a horrible stuttering mess. If I reduce my resolution to 1920*1080 it's great with DL on and off. All my flying is in daytime.

I've just been advised to apply for a refund on the ORBX forum. That's pretty decent of them given refunds are generally refused. But I'm probably going to keep it as it's a nice airport and I'll just turn DL off when I get within 50nm.

All this is with P3D v4.5. I have no idea why performance should be so terrible at high resolutions. I use Afterburner and Riva Stats and that proved invaluable in watching performance of the GPU. With DL off it was around 70%. With it on it went to 98% which probably explains the stuttering mess. But in daytime what exactly is DL used on?

I used the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 and even with all aircraft lights off the problem remained. The developer doesn’t know the cause. Baffling and none of my other airports from FlyTampa, LatinVFR, FSDT and Flightbeam have the problem.
