July 27, 20205 yr Moderator I’m so baffled by the CRJ. P3Dv5 is running on my system like no other sim ever has, and I’ve been simming since 82. Well, maybe we couldn’t call it simming then because it had like 2 FPS, which bring me to the CRJ. If I don’t use fps limiters, I get frames in the VC fluctuating from 40-90, but it’s not even close to being smooth. If I limit (either internally or externally) I get stutters that give me a headache, seriously! I remember seeing this in some old and early PSS airplanes, but they eventually ironed it out. I wish Hans could figure this out as I really want to love this plane. FYI - I don’t have this with any other plane (fslabs, pmdg, Maddog) or scenery for that matter, my sim is locked vie RTSS at 30 rock solid. Sometimes during cruise I get scared that my sim has crashed or paused, but then I realize it’s just super smooth - I’m really not making this up! Most of my cores go up to 100% usage for a few seconds which coincides with the temporary drop in FPS. If I lock frames externally I get worse performance, so I went back to unlimited frames and it runs a lot better. I wish there was some way we could assist Aerosoft with finding the issue, since they always say they're unable to replicate it because they have high performance computers.
