Hello,

 P3D V4.5 (WIN 10 64 BIT

I have assigned a key to "ARM" the spoilers prior to touch down, when I select key Spoilers deploy in the air this is not supposed to happen once spoilers armed the usual deployment is caused by the air /ground sense typical via a teleflex cable (old school)  from the maim gear under carriage, I followed the procedure by going to the G1000 Soft Key No 6 in the controls menu is this a fault with S/Ware or have I done something wrong.

Please advise fix.

There is nothing to fix. The Lear 35 does not have auto spoilers. The pilot has to manually deploy them on touchdown with the switch on the center console. That’s all the switch does... it either extends or retracts the spoilers.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your input pity the terminology is incorrect "ARM" is not relevant most  A/C transport /corporate that have spoilers are indeed armed and deploy on landing the only usual pilot manual input is after roll out to stow the spoilers.

I will check on the real world Lear 35A in this respect its misleading to talk of ARM Spoilers in the user manual checl list etc in my view.

Unfortunately the checklist in the kneeboard seems to be for the Lear45, and you can arm the Lear45 spoilers. The Flysimware Lear35 manual mentions there is no arming of the spoilers.

We do need to get the correct checklist in the Lear35 kneeboard.
