Assignment Secondary panel / Soft Mute to joystick button

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Been trying to sort this out all week, can't find info here on the forum.

Here's the situation: I would like to assign a joystick button to 'softmute' (proppeller sync on/off) to the same key as the ptt on Vatsim.
So far so good.

But, I also would like to use a Joystick button to open the Secondary Panel, which also needs to be linked to Propeller sync (on/off) according to the manual.
I had that setup in FSX:SE until recently, but can't find a solution in the manuals.

What am I missing here?

Grtz.,
Hans

Hi Hans,

Secondary Panel assignment is:

KEY_TOGGLE_NITROUS_TANK_VALVE

Not Prop Sync.

Cheers,

Wonderfull, thnx!

In that case I might have discovered an error in the manual. ;-)

NGX REBOOT MAIN OPS MANUAL --> page 23

"
 To create your "Secondary Button" assignment, create a joystick or keyboard button assignment for 'PROPELLER SYNC (ON/OFF)' in the FS 'SETTINGS - CONTROLS' menu."

Secondary Button in that case refers to the Secondary Button used in Button Control (to trigger items found on the right side of the display).

It's not meant to open the Secondary Panel.

But I could see how the wording could cause some confusion.

Cheers,

Aha, I see now!

What caught me was the order I guess, it’s a topic following assigment of the main panel button, I assumed the next thing would be about the secondary panel button.

But anyway, it’s solved.

Thnx for your swift replies! Helped a lot!

Grtz.,

Hans
