After 30 years of simming and being a fan of big tubeliners, i switched completely to A2A warbirds - those planes rocks.

I found myself getting bored with simming until I discovered A2A about 5 or 6 years ago. Totally revolutionised it for me!  Their visual and flight modelling is just fantastic and Accu-sim just adds a whole new layer of complexity and realism.  I love that you have to actually take care of your aircraft!

Ive found the dcs spitfire much more difficult to take off and land than the a2a one. DCS doesnt model engine stress as faithfully as a2a but the rest of the aircraft is just realistic in all aspects.

It's been a long time since I have flown the Spit in DCS.  I flew it when it was the beta release and wasn't too keen on the ground handling lol

Interestingly A2A tweaked the ground handling on their spit a few years ago after input from the Boultbee Flight Academy, who use a MkIX adapted version in their full cockpit simulator that they use to train real world Spitfire pilots.  It become a lot harder to control which has made it more realistic.

Thanks for your comment, you've reminded me I need to take a look at the DCS MkIX since it's been updated a few times since I flew it.
