Crash to desktop from RAASPRO dll.xml file

Recommended Posts

P3D v5, Hot Fix 2

Aerosoft CRJ Professional 2.2.0.1

RAAS Professional (64 Bit) by FS2Crew (LOCKED)

P3D crashes to desktop whenever I change the graphics settings, and it happens with every aircraft (not just the CRJ).  The issue is with clr.dll - see below.

However, if I remove the RAASPRO section from dll.xml, I no longer have these crashes when changing graphics settings in P3D.

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the CRJ and RAASPRO, but that didn't resolve the issue.  I also tried downloading a new dll.xml from the FS2Crew support site, but P3D still crashes with clr.dll

This week, I upgraded the Aerosoft CRJ Professional from version 2.2.0.0 to the experimental version 2.2.0.1.  This is when the issue started; before that, I did not have these crashes or any issues with RAASPRO.

----I suggest going back to the "non-experimental" version of the CRJ Pro.  I've heard it has some problems from other users.
Nothing in RAAS has changed.

Went back to non-experimental CRJ. Reinstalled RAAS and Ultimate Ground Crew X (UGCX).

Prior to this issue, I could run RAAS and UGCX simultaneously with no crash.

Now by editing dll.xml and including only one <Launch.Addon> section, I can run either RAAS or UGCX, but not both at the same time.

Directory:

  • C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\dll.xml

The following version of dll.xml continues to cause the clr.dll crash:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="3,0" id="dll">
    <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr>
    <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
  <Launch.Addon>
      <Name>Ultimate Ground Crew X</Name>
      <Disabled>False</Disabled>
      <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
      <Path>.\Ultimate Ground Crew X\UGCX64.dll</Path>
      <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
      <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>
  <Launch.Addon>
         <Name>RAASPRO</Name>
         <Disabled>False</Disabled>
         <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
         <Path>.\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.dll</Path>
         <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
         <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Try doing a clean re-install of P3D.

Your install seems to have a problem if everything worked prior to installing that 'experimental' update.

Best,
