Hi,

I'm new here, and I'm new to flight simulators. I've had my eye on flight sims for years but never taken the plunge. I've pre-ordered Flight Simulator 2020 and can't wait to start my journey.

Obviously I'll be starting off with no experience, so it's good to see the new version caters to beginners. I'll of course be looking out here for plenty of tips.

It's certainly an exciting time to be joining the crowd here with the new version of Flight Simulator on the way and I'm sure you won't be alone in joining the fun and starting from scratch. Everyone did that at some point, but you'll pick things up quickly, especially if you ask stuff here as there are lots of friendly and helpful people around.

So in the meantime, join in on the forums and if you have questions about things, ask away.

No doubt as soon as the Non Disclosure Agreement gets lifted then some of the testers will be willing to share tips from the inside as it were. MSFS is still quite an unknown quantity for many people.

As Alan says, join in and ask questions. AVSIM caters for how to fly stuff in pretty much any flight sim with tips & tricks and also offers insight into real world procedures too.
