October 23, 200619 yr Works ok here, you sure you don't have any other firewalls or some type of Anti virus that has Internet Security?
October 23, 200619 yr there are many issues with the multiplayer which I really do hope are addressed in a patch.Make sure you have forwarded the ports 6112 - 6122 in your router/modem if your on ADSL.I have correctly confid'd my ports but I get disconnected (almost) everytime I try to connect to a session, then it also punts from gamespy as well.I'v given up on multiplayer till MS address this issue. There are plenty other people like me (and you) having MP problems. :////////
October 23, 200619 yr Not exactly the same problem, but still driving me crazy. I can log in, but get kicked off any time I do anything besides log into a session or host my own. Anything else I do it immediately disconnects me. Another issue I'm having that may be worth mentioning....I can run fsx all day by itself, but when i'm on gamespy my computer just crashes without warning. Everything is fine one sec, next thing I know the cpu is restarting itself. After reboot it gives me the message that the system suffered a serious error, send or don't send. My cpu is less than 3 months old. athlon 64, dual core. Plenty of power for running everything.
October 24, 200619 yr I also have those disconnect problems from the gamespy lobby. If i go to another lobby than the 'free flight', and then go back to 'free flight', i almost always get a disconnect. And always, when i exit a game i get disconnected, telling me i may have logged on with another computer. Is there a way to get fsx to remember the lobby password? By now it's really getting old having to type it every freaking time.Any Gamespy alternatives for fsx multiplayer out there?
October 24, 200619 yr Well, since you mention it, here's what I got going on:My wife and I live on-campus in student apartments. We are behind a mass-campus firewall. However, this have never been a problem, I can login to Battlefield 2 just fine...and access all internet sites with ease. Perhaps some setting is needed on my PC to help login. And it's not like I get to wait while logging in. It's a simple "click" the login button and wham! Unable to connect.Strange....that would suck, tower view for nothin :( | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

October 30, 200619 yr Still haeven't figured out my problemI think it might have to do with the cisco clean access agent program i have to run on campus, it authenticates through our campus servers, and is firewalled. I wrote our IT a email hopefully someone can figure it out. I connect to BF2 servers just fine | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 30, 200619 yr Yeah..I get the "may have logged on with another computer.". Sometimes...if I exit and comeback in and pray... I can get in. But sunday, I was in a Multiplayer mood and I just couldn't get in. I simply gave up after trying for 3 hours.. Yes.. I actually sat and tried to figure out and did everything I could to log in for over 3 hours.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
