July 29, 20205 yr My current system is fairly precis the stated recommended system for MSFS and I use it with a 27" 2560*1440 monitor (2K). What can I expect of MSFS ? Of course there must be limitation considering a stated ideal requirement. But what will these limitations be ? An interesting question is how it will compare to XP11 + Ortho4XP which I use and find great. What I understand is that MSFS implement this technique through streaming. So I think that MSFS might be like my XP11 setup but for the whole world which would constitute a big pros. In FSXSE and P3D 2 I experience that performance depends very much of where you fly. Densely populated areas like Seattle tax fps very hard. Maybe I can get good performance in MSFS in less dense areas ? The same question if I update my current systemHaswell 4770K @4.5 Ghz 16 Gb RAM 2200 MHz NVIDIA GTX970 4 Gb 100 Gbit broadband with something lika a 2000 series videocard with 8 Gb VRAM ?
July 29, 20205 yr To be honest, it depends on if you want to play at 1080p or higher resolution. If you look at ideal specs, you are on the lower end of things. Your CPU is getting old and your GPU has very little VRAM to today's standard. Also the game says 32GB RAM on the higher end. So if you want to play with the lower end settings, you will be ok but if you want to play on Ultra , you may want to re-think your current hardware. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
