August 5, 20205 yr Will it be possible to open few windows (PIP) within the simulator to see the cockpit and outer view at the same time ? ( As it was possible in FSX) Intel i7-9700K - AMD 7900 XT (VRAM 20GB) - 32 Gb Ram - SSD Drive - Win10 x64 - Samsung 43" 4K TV - Quest 3 VR
August 5, 20205 yr How is the performance hit? Just curious to know. I liked to have 2D cockpit/panels open on the second touch screen but two few planes in FSX/P3D have 2D cockpit anymore. Opening a dedicated 3D cockpit window hurt the fps quite a bit in FSX/P3D. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
August 6, 20205 yr As Asobo has given AVSIM an interview where this was answered I don't think it's a breach of the NDA to say that no, you cannot have multiple view windows like you could with FSX. It's a feature they'd like to add in future but don't have now (and will not be in at release). Nor can you pop out 2D panels (like the G1000 PFD/MFD) from the cockpit. You can pop out windows from the UI system (VFR map, weather settings etc) and put them on separate monitors, but that's all. Temporary sim: 9700K @ 5GHz, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080Ti, MSFS + SPAD.NeXT
